Dhruv

From field observations
to trusted coordinates.

Survey-grade GNSS processing with transparent quality reports. Dhruv brings our geodesy focus into a planned workflow for survey and engineering teams.

Coming soon

Survey quality,
with the context intact.

Planned for teams working with GNSS observations and survey control, Dhruv focuses on the processing decisions behind each result.

  • GNSS observation processing and correction context
  • Coordinate reference, datum and validation checks
  • Quality reports showing residuals, uncertainty and limitations

GNSS rover and survey equipment used for field observations
GNSS field observations are the starting point for a defensible survey result.

Our engineering, from the receiver to the result.

UGAC is developing Dhruv in-house across both GNSS hardware and processing software. Our aim is to connect the equipment used to collect field observations with the tools used to process, validate and report them. Hardware development, embedded firmware and geospatial software are being shaped as parts of one survey workflow.

The hardware work focuses on acquiring GNSS observations and understanding the receiver, antenna and field conditions behind them. The software work focuses on processing those observations, handling coordinate references and correction context, and presenting quality checks alongside the resulting coordinates. Our geodesy expertise guides the relationship between the measurement and the reported result.

Dhruv is being designed to support centimetre-level and millimetre-level accuracy, depending on the survey method, observation conditions, correction services and validation of each result. Any result generated through our hardware and software will be expressed within India’s own geodetic reference frame, so that the reported coordinates remain aligned with the national reference framework and relevant Indian geospatial requirements.

Developing both sides together allows us to examine quality throughout the workflow, from data collection to processing and review. Dhruv’s direction is to make survey outputs easier to inspect, with clear reference information, processing context, uncertainty and limitations. Dhruv is coming soon; receiver capabilities, supported formats and processing functions will be confirmed as development and validation progress.
